“Blessed are they who mourn; they shall be comforted.” (Mt 5-4) The Bereavement Ministry provides support to families in their most difficult days when mourning the loss of a loved one. We believe that “No one should grieve alone.”
We provide receptions following funerals relieving the families of the stress of that task. When needed we will provide Greeters, Eucharistic Ministers, and Readers for the liturgies. As we expand our ministry, we look forward to providing more assistance to the families after the funeral and in the days ahead. We want them to realize they and their loved ones are not forgotten by their parish community.
If you would like to assist us by providing food, helping serve food or being part of the liturgy, we look forward to your participation.
The Health & Wellness Ministry
strives to provide information to parishioners to enable them to live their lives in good health as long as possible. We are part of Baptist Health’s Faith Based Ministry program which works with area churches offering timely health updates on issues that affect the quality of life.
Anyone interested in this topic is welcome on our committee. No training in health professions is required, just a desire to help improve the overall health of our parish community. We especially look forward to new ideas to help us meet the needs of our parishioners.
